project 2: report precedent studies
After done with the study research of South East KL, in a group of 5, we're required to interprete our understanding of the principle, ideas and contributing factors of Modern Architecture to our selected post modernism building. We need to analysis and identify specific architectural features of Modern Architecture in and also documenting architectural heritage in the form of writings, descriptive diagrams and
photography in relation and documented them into a report.
Our group has chose National Visual Arts Gallery as our research topic.
project 1: research time-line analysis
Through this research project, students are required to document, analyze, produce, and present orally a critical chronological interpretation of Modern Malaysian architectural history. It emphasizes on the critical analysis of the post Merdeka/Independance of Malaysian architecture in the effort to understand the influences of post-modernism to architectural design and construction, building science and technology, and urban design.
As a big tutorial group, we got South East KL as our research area whereas in a group of 5, we choose Brickfields as our study area. We are required to produce an A3 continuous illustrative chronology poster of Modern Malaysian Architecture.
